1. This is a canon Weyr, which means dragons will be only the original five colours. (Gold, Bronze, Brown, Green, and Blue.)
2. If you are writing a hatching, please inform the management of the color selection and who will be Impressing.
3. To join as a Gold or Bronze rider, or a Hears-All-Dragons (HAD), you must have prior permission from the management.
4. Please don't assume that you know people IC unless you have already cleared it with them, as you may inadvertently mess up one of their plot twists.
5. Timing between is not normally done. If you have a storyline that you want to do with timing involved, please get managerial okay first.
6. You may not be one of McCaffrey's characters from the Dragonriders of Pern book series. Make up your own character and play. You may have as many characters as you feel that you can handle.
7. Remember, this is not a fantasy based world. There is no magic, nor is there any religion on Pern.
8. Please try not to jump from thread to thread. That just makes it confusing for the rest of us, as we don't know where you are.
9. Please respect the Pernese society in which you are playing. In character, respect the higher ranks. Not all bronze and gold riders are part of the BoD, but in character they are still high ranking members of the Weyr.
10. All dragon names end in 'th' and all male dragonriders names have the honorific H'lan, not Harlan. Female riders may choose to have the honorific or not. Queen riders never have the honorific.
11. Remember, this is a Role Playing Board. Please read previous posts before posting, and try to think of what has gone on before so that when you post it makes sense. Do not 'pose' another character without their explicit permission. This includes writing as if someone's character is available and present in your thread.
12. There are no Player Character (PC) killings allowed, until the Player is willing to die, themselves. If you want to kill someone, make sure it is a Non Player Character (NPC), and only if it fits with a plot line you have planned.
13. Please, before beginning an intentionally graphic thread, label it with the correct rating (R or NC). As well, try to post at least one paragraph in every "In Character" post you write. One and two-liners are not appreciated, for they are hard to write responses to.
14. If you wish to advertise for your own Weyrs, that is fine--as long as you follow these directions:
a) You have made your characters for Equinox.
b) You have posted every character you have at least once.
c) You do not repost the advertisement for another week.
If these rules have not been followed, your advertisement will be deleted and you will be warned via a public post by the BoD. Thank you.
15. If you would like to have a flight, gold or green (dragon or fire lizard), please post ahead of time so that members may prepare. (One or two weeks at least, please.)
